The Hancock Firm, P.A. is a law firm focusing on bankruptcy law and getting residents of Atlantic Beach, Mayport, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra, and Jacksonville the "fresh start" they need to move forward. We can help with law suits, foreclosures, garnishments, bank levies, IRS debt, student loan debt, and any other debt collection situation. We understand this is a very difficult and stressful time and we would like to help. We offer a friendly and comfortable environment and take the time to make sure our clients are well-informed of all their options. The initial consultation is always free and we won't rush you into making a decision -- we know you are already getting enough pressure from your creditors.
Our office is located at 681 Atlantic Boulevard in Atlantic Beach, right across from the Publix shopping center. We share a building with Goodwill and Salty Paws Healthy Pet Market. Katheryn E. Hancock, Attorney and Counselor at Law
Katheryn grew up at the beach, attending Neptune Beach Elementary and Fletcher Middle and High Schools. She received a B.A. in History and English from the University of North Florida, a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University, and a law degree from the University of Alabama.
While in law school, Katheryn served on the Moot Court Board, a trial competition team, was the editor of a journal, and was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society. She also had an article on the discharge of student loans in bankruptcy published in a legal journal.
After practicing at a large-volume bankruptcy firm for over three years, Katheryn decided to open up The Hancock Firm, P.A. in order to better serve her clients in the Beaches community. Katheryn has filed nearly 1000 bankruptcy cases and has attended hundreds of creditor meetings and hearings in the Bankruptcy Court.
Katheryn is currently the President of the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association and Vice President of the Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association. She is also the President of BRASS (Beaches Residents Actively Supporting the Symphony) and is on the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Symphony and the St. Augustine Music Festival.
In her free time, Katheryn enjoys riding her bike, walking on the beach, cooking and baking, going to the gym, fencing, and spending time with her wonderful family.
